DEXA

DEXA

DEXA (Dual Energy X-Ray Aborptiometry) is also called bone densitometry. It is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss. DEXA is for measuring bone mineral density.

It uses a very small dose of ionizing radiation to produce images of the inside of the body to measure bone loss. It is commonly used to identify osteoporosis and to assess an individual’s risk for developing fractures. It is very quick and noninvasive.

Following are the DEXA equipment parts such as Belt, Collimator, PC Board, MFB Board, Stepping M, Anti-Reson, MFB Board etc. manufactured by the Lunar and Hologic.
